Studios for Social Wellbeing
This project was a collaboration between the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum , and Warwickshire Virtual School . It was an action research project co-produced with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children to inform sustainable and inclusive core programming at HAGM. We are thankful to have been supported by Arts Connect and the Mighty Creatives.
The Herbert is always seeking opportunities to make our programming reflective of the people who make Coventry Coventry. Projects like this allow us to learn what people want and figure out how we can make it happen. We understand that the most supportive work happens in collaboration. So, we excited to work with the Warwickshire Virtual School on this project and will continue to strengthen this relationship so that we can continue to keep evolving with our communities.
We give special thanks to Klood who is a fabulous member of our front of house team, for stepping in to translate and allowing the participants to speak freely, and comfortably. We also extend our gratitude to Umar, a social worker without whom recruitment would have been impossible!
