Our Future Moves
Coventry Transport Museum
17 July - 31 October 2021
What will the future look like? How will we live, work and travel? How will the technology being developed today impact on our lives in the future?
Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands’ world-leading transport innovation is showcased during a year of celebration and activities.
A range of partners from across the region have come together to create Our Future Moves which runs from July 2021 through to the summer of 2022 with a series of events taking place over the 12-month period – including demonstrations of the latest technology.
The year long showcase – which takes place alongside Coventry being UK City of Culture - features a diverse range of pioneering exhibits from autonomous vehicles to AI facial recognition cars and submarines for a single person.
The interactive and ambitious exhibition tells the stories of the objects on display by envisioning how future cities may look and exploring how pioneering developments in transport and technology could affect the environment and the way we live.
A range of partners from across the region have come together to create Our Future Moves and objects on display include an Aurrigo autonomous shuttle, Coventry Very Light Rail (VLR) model, a Coventry University autonomous racing vehicle and display of unmanned aerial vehicle projects, Jaguar I-PACE, Microcab Industries Ltd hydrogen car, GE electric propulsion unit, KIVNON Mobile Robotics and a University of Warwick nano satellite which monitors wildlife populations.
What better place to demonstrate our ability to innovate – past, present and future, than in the home of the cycle industry and birth place of the motor car in the UK.
