Join Nick Cherryman, drag performer Ibi Profane and convenor of queer/disrupt, for a talk on key events in British LGBTQ+ History, with reflection through the ages and the recent history of Coventry’s LGBTQ+ Community.
Looking back over the past several hundred years, this talk is a whistle-stop tour of events that have happened throughout British history, with the fascinating and difficult history of the LGBTQ+ community.
There will also be a brief reflection on Coventry’s LGBTQ+ community, and how this has formed and been shaped in the recent past.

queer/disrupt is a queer community based in the UK, giving space and voice to members of the LGBTQ+ family and marginalised groups both locally and worldwide.
They run virtual events, competitions, host podcasts and publish blog posts. They also participate and collaborate with many other queer and LGBTQ+ groups.
